The ultimate goal of all mankind, the aim and end of all religions, is but one – reunion with God, or, what amounts to the same, with the divinity which is every man’s true nature. But while the aim is one, the method of attaining may vary with the different temperaments of men.

- Swami Vivekananda

At Vedanta Study Circle (VSC), we are dedicated to learn, understand and practice Vedanta as taught by Swami Vivekananda, one of the foremost Vedantins of modern times. Staying true to the philosophy of Vedanta that a follower of Vedanta can profess any religion or can be an atheist, VSC is open to everyone irrespective of their race, nationality, gender, religion etc.

We believe that each can learn much from the other, and, in that way, the light of knowledge can be kept burning brightly. Nothing promotes knowledge so much as a debate on the differing points of view in a spirit of healthy co-operation, with the object of discovering the truth.

Our primary activity is a weekly study meeting, where we read, discuss, debate and understand Vedanta. We believe that this is the first step in practicing Vedanta. Our meeting times and schedules can be found from the Events page. We read from a Vedantic text and discuss it as a group to gain a deeper understanding. Every semester, we will also have a few lectures by invited speakers on topics of interest to broader student community.
